Description and Conditions <br />Bids were received Thursday, August 28, 1986 at 11:00 A.M. for <br />IRC #298 -Traffic Signal Equipment for the Traffic Engineering <br />Department. <br />17 Bids were sent out. Of the 9 Bid Proposals received, 2 were <br />"No Bids". <br />2. Alternatives and Analysis <br />This was an attempt to perhaps get lower prices on traffic signal <br />equipment used frequently. However, we are currently getting <br />better prices from some vendors that did not bid. Also, there <br />were few bidders on several items. .. <br />3. Recommendation and Funding <br />It is recommended that IRC #298 be rejected and staff be authorized <br />to continue purchasing the, items from the vendor with the best price. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Lyons, SECONDED by Commis- <br />sioner Bowman, the Board unanimously (4-0) rejected <br />Bid #298 as recommended by staff and authorized staff <br />to continue purchasing Traffic Signal Equipment from <br />the vendor with the best price. <br />F(2.)
