If we should convey <br />back a smaller amount than they expected under this agreement, <br />there will be nothing to go by but the discretion of the Board. <br />Attorney Barkett agreed that it would have to be a <br />negotiated figure that would be paid back to them. <br />Discussion ensued re the wording in the memo, and Commis- <br />sioner Eggert believed this is dealt with in Paragraph 9 of the <br />proposed agreement which states that "The County will then return <br />to the Firefighters all net proceeds less at least a $5,000 <br />guaranteed amount......." <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Bird, the Board unanimously approved the <br />agreement with the Vero Beach Firefighters Associa- <br />tion and authorized the signature of the Chairman. <br />AGREEMENT <br />THIS AGREEMENT, dated this 3rd day of February, <br />1987, between Indian River County (the County), a <br />subdivision of the State of Florida., whose mailing address <br />is 1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida 32960, and the Vero <br />Beach Firefighters Association Local 2201, IAFF, Inc. <br />(Firefighters), whose mailing address is <br />P. 0. Box 1974, Vero Beach, Florida 32961, <br />W I T N E S S E T H: <br />WHEREAS, the County desires to conduct a public <br />fair or exposition in accordance with Chapter 616, Florida <br />Statutes, in 1987 for the.benefit and development of the <br />agricultural, horticultural, livestock and other resources <br />of the State and of the County; and <br />WHEREAS, the County wishes to contract with <br />someone to operate the fair; and <br />42 <br />
