RM -8; whether some of.it should be included in the node; and if <br />not., why not. <br />Discussion continued as to the RM -8 line and the possibility <br />of squaring off the boundary on the north along that line down to <br />the RMH-8. It was noted that right now in the RM -8, there is a <br />vacant parcel of about 20 acres and an .9 acre mobile home park <br />with between 11-14 homes. The RMH-8 is Ranchland Mobile Home <br />Park. <br />Commissioner Eggert inquired if she was alone in feeling <br />that something should be done west of 1-95, and other Board <br />members assured her she was not. <br />Commissioner Eggert asked about the amount of property <br />involved if we were to square off the A-1 and RM -6 segments on <br />the south of SR60 and west of 1-95, which were not included in <br />the node, and Planner Shearer believed it would be in the <br />neighborhood of 150 acres. <br />Commissioner Wheeler inquired about the northwest quadrant <br />on 1-95, and Chairman Scurlock explained there is an existing <br />subdivision and it is an active one. <br />Commissioner Wheeler believed the industrial usage is mainly <br />west of 1-95, and Chairman Scurlock noted that you are hemmed in <br />on the north by two subdivisions and on the southeast by two <br />mobile home parks. The only area not hemmed in is the southwest <br />corner, except for the Florida Gas transmission line. <br />The Chairman asked if anyone present wished to be heard, and <br />clarified that the Commission at this point is looking at the <br />possibility of expanding the node to square off the areas just <br />discussed. <br />Terrance Riley, 2139 79th Court, pointed out an area on the <br />map and wished to know what could be put in there in the way of <br />industrial or commercial. <br />Chief Planner Shearer advised that right now that area is <br />limited commercial and agricultural, and there is a rezoning <br />request now to go to CL.
