ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Wheeler, the Board unanimously (4-0) <br />adopted Resolution 87-53, establishing that members <br />of the Marine Advisory Board shall serve staggered <br />terms. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 87- 53 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, <br />FLORIDA, REESTABLISHING AND STAGGERING <br />THE TERMS OF THE MEMBERS OF THE INDIAN <br />RIVER COUNTY MARINE ADVISORY BOARD AND <br />REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 87-22. <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County is greatly affected <br />by, dependent upon and served by the Indian .River Lagoon; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the <br />citizens of Indian River County to maintain, preserve and <br />enhance the natural beauty, water quality and usefulness of <br />the Indian River Lagoon as an irreplaceable natural <br />resource; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Indian River County to stagger the terms of <br />the Marine Advisory Board members by repealing Resolution <br />No. 87-22 to revise it to accomplish the above -stated <br />objectives; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of <br />County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida: <br />1. Indian River County Resolution No. 87-22 is <br />hereby repealed. <br />2. The Indian River County Marine Advisory Board <br />is hereby established to consist of the following members <br />who will be appointed by the Board of County Commissioners: <br />a.
