Director Pinto <br />felt that we would be in a very good negotiating position as to <br />the cost of the utility connection itself. The rate structure <br />is set through a franchise from the City of Sebastian. This site <br />is in an area that franchises an area that the County has <br />targeted as something to look at and incorporate into the County <br />system sometime in the future. <br />Chairman asked what the estimated cost would be if we were <br />to extend the sewer line down the CR -512 corridor, and Director <br />Pinto felt we would be looking at $25 a foot for sewer, and $16 a <br />foot for a minimum 8" water line. <br />Commissioner Bird asked what the estimated cost would be in <br />the long run to provide utility service to the Chesser Gap and <br />Fischer sites, and Director Pinto felt that it would be $10,000- <br />$40,000 for water, but the cost for wastewater is really up in <br />the air depending on the soil conditions. With the Sebastian <br />Lakes site, all we are talking about is the connection fees. <br />Chairman Scurlock felt that with the Sebastian Lakes site, <br />we should have a reasonable assurance that we would be able to <br />build our facility at a reasonable cost and not have any <br />unnecessary delays. He suggested that we have an agreement <br />structured in that light, but did not know if the County Attorney <br />or the Administrator have given any thought to that. <br />Commissioner Eggert advised that she had talked to them <br />about Sebastian Lakes wanting architectural approval and <br />discussed how we could work that out. <br />Chairman Scurlock suggested that we structure the agreement <br />that we design the facility with Sebastian Lakes having some sort <br />of utility ability. <br />Administrator Balczun noted that Mr. Brierley of Sebastian <br />Lakes indicated that his organization is concerned whether the <br />RK <br />
