RECONSIDERATION OF MAIN LIBRARY SITE <br />Commissioner Eggert informed the Board that our selection of <br />the Old Jail site for the main library has met with mixed <br />reviews; some are very happy and feel it is the best possible <br />site; some feel wherever we put the library they will get to it; <br />but it seems the vast majority of the people who use the library <br />most of the time are very unhappy with our selection. She, <br />therefore, believed it does deserve a review. Commissioner <br />Eggert noted that her first choice when we made our original <br />vote, and the first choice of the Public Library Advisory <br />Committee, was the Grace Lutheran site. <br />Commissioner Eggert then went over the figures set out in <br />the following scenarios and advised that Tallahassee has <br />recommended that we use a $75/square foot minimum construction <br />cost rather than the bare bones $70/square foot we have used as <br />that is what it will be in the 1989 figures. <br />MAR 2 9 19 <br />51 &GU 71 PAGE 408 <br />
