(3) Out -of -County Travel - Administrative Aide Forlani <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Bird, the Board unanimously (4-0) approved <br />out -of -County travel for Administrative Aide Liz <br />Forlani to attend the Florida Women in Government <br />25th Annual Conference June 21-25, 1988, in <br />Clearwater, Florida. <br />(4) Approve Grant of Funds from St. John's under SWIM Act <br />The Board reviewed memo from Environmental Health Director, <br />Michael Galanis: <br />TO: Indian River County DATE: 5/23/88 FILE: <br />Commissioners sitting as the <br />Indian River County Environmental Control Board <br />THRU: Charles Balczun, <br />Co. Administrator <br />Director, <br />SUBJECT: St. John's River Water <br />Management District grant of <br />funds under the SWIM Act <br />finis, M.P.H. REFERENCE: <br />ronmental Health <br />This a request that the Indian River County Board of County Commissioners <br />sitting as the Indian River County Environmental Control Board approve <br />the attached agreement to accept Water Management District funds, and <br />authorize its Chairman to sign the agreement and forward it to the Water <br />Management District. The attached agreement has already been approved in <br />concept by the Board of County Commissioners sitting as the Environmental <br />Control Board, at its meeting on May 10 , 1988. The language of the <br />agreement has now been approved by the Water Management District Board <br />and its attorney, and the agreement is ready for signature. The agree- <br />ment provides for total funding of approximately eighty five thousand <br />_ ($85,000) dollars over a three year period for the investigation of <br />pollution sources and enforcement of pollution laws affecting the Indian <br />River Lagoon. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Bird, the Board (sitting as the Indian <br />River County Environmental Control Board) unanimously <br />(4-0) approved the Agreement with St. Johns River <br />Water Management District in regard to grant funds <br />of approximately $85,000 under the SWIM Act. <br />SAY 3 x.1999 <br />F ,s 4 . <br />
