Ordinance requirements for noncommercial stables (Sec. <br />25.1(a) (9) 1 : <br />a_) Noncommercial stables shall be allowed in nonagricul- <br />tural districts only as an accessory use. <br />b) Such uses shall be located on lots having an area of no <br />less than two (2) acres. <br />c) The number of horses shall not exceed one per acre. <br />d) There shall be a minimum setback of fifty (50) feet from <br />any property line. <br />e) The applicant shall provide a fence which has a minimum <br />height of four (4) feet and totally encloses the area. <br />The applicant has submitted a -minor site plan which shows all <br />existing improvements on this property. Staff review has <br />verified that all site plan requirements and requirements of <br />Section 25.1(a)(9) have been met. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners: <br />1. Grant special exception use approval of the non-commercial <br />stable. <br />Vice Chairman Wheeler opened the Public Hearing, and asked <br />if anyone wished to be heard in this matter. . - <br />Frank DeJoia, 11625 Roseland Road, advised that he lives on <br />the 5 acres immediately adjoining this parcel to the south, and <br />has been helping Mrs. Scott with the minor site plan. They feel <br />that all of the problems have been addressed, and that the <br />request should be approved. <br />There being no others who wished to be heard, the Vice <br />Chairman closed the Public Hearing. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bowman, the Board unanimously (3-0) <br />granted special exception approval and site plan <br />approval to Gretchen Scott for a non-commercial stable <br />on property located at 11675 Roseland Road. <br />17 Boos 73 r.�,r s <br />JUN 211988 <br />
