Terry, C <br />Civil Engineer <br />SUBJECT: <br />Paving <br />of <br />13th Street between 36th and 37th Avenue <br />DATE: <br />---------------- <br />August <br />2, <br />------------------------------------------------ <br />1988 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />On June 16, 1987, a resolution was adopted to pave 37th <br />Avenue from 12th Street to 14th Street under our petition paving <br />program. Construction is now underway for paving of 37th Avenue. <br />Some property owners along 37th Avenue and those on 13th Street <br />have expressed interest in having the portion of 13th Street <br />paved from 36th to 37th Avenue. There will be approximately 256 <br />lineal feet of unpaved roadway between 36th and 37th Avenue after <br />37th Avenue is paved. Please see attached map highlighted in <br />yellow. <br />The Engineering Division has not received a petition for <br />this portion of 13th Street. If staff were to take this 256 <br />lineal feet to the Board for approval and preparation of a <br />pending assessment and resolution it may take at least a year <br />before paving could be complete. There are approximately ten <br />petition paving projects that have already been approved for <br />paving and approximately 15 petitions,that need to go to the <br />Board of County Commissioners for approal prior to 13th Street. <br />These roads normally are paved on a first come first serve basis. <br />RECOMMENDATION & FUNDING <br />The Engineering Division recommends paving this portion of <br />13th Street at the time 37th Avenue is paved.
