Commissioner Bowman commented that a letter apparently has <br />been written to the ambulance company, but the memo doesn't say <br />when it went out or whether a return receipt was requested. She <br />asked how we know they ever got the notice. <br />Emergency ManagementDi-rector'Wright believed the letter was <br />sent on October 29th. He advised that the sale was consummated <br />on November 7th. CI <br />PublicWorks Directo <br />SUBJECT: Petition Paving 21st Avenue and 22nd Avenue <br />South of 44th Street <br />DATE: November 7, 1988 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />The Public Works Department and Ronald Mitchell (VISA Building <br />Corp.) have cooperatively participated in thepaving of 21st <br />Avenue and 22nd Avenue south of 4th Street. The construction was <br />accelerated since Mr. Mitchell was developing a nearby <br />subdivision. In order to expedite the work, Mr. Mitchell agreed <br />to contract with Pan American Engineering Corp. for furnishing <br />marl to bring the existing roads to final grade. This was agreed <br />to by Public Works only if the cost did not exceed the amount <br />that this would would usually cost the County, which was <br />$4,277.50.
