ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS <br />Since Mr. Mitchell was under contract with Pan American <br />Engineering, this work was not competitively bid. The County did <br />have bids received for this work recently, and the price bid is <br />the same as the cost that Pan American Engineering is charging. <br />RECOMMENDATION AND FUNDING <br />It is recommended that the Board approve the $4,277.50 payment to <br />Pan American Engineering for subgrade marl. Funding to be from <br />Petition Paving account 173-214-541-035.39 (Paving materials). <br />Director Davis informed the.Board that the only direct <br />payment not under county contract was this $4,277, and staff will <br />bring the final assessment roll to the Board shortly. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Wheeler, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Eggert, the Board unanimously approved the <br />payment of $4,277.50 to Pan American Engineering for <br />subgrade marl as recommended by staff. <br />KING'S HWY.
