i�UL 2 t,'6 <br />ROOK <br />F 9 <br />4 3 G <br />Commissioner Bird <br />always had thought the river <br />along <br />the <br />road going in there was relatively deep and had envisioned that a <br />dock would be built there someday. <br />Mr. Bunnell explained that their original plan was to have <br />the dock at the foot of their driveway, but they found that the <br />water is very shallow there and continues to be shallow quite a <br />distance from shore. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Eggert, that the Board approve staff's <br />recommendation as set out in the above memo. <br />Jeannette Lier, One Michael Creek Drive, was concerned that <br />this use would keep the public from using that spot for fishing, <br />picnics, parking, etc, but the Commissioners assured her that it <br />would not. <br />Commissioner Bird agreed that it needs to be understood that <br />whatever parking is created there is going to be available to the <br />public and that it would not be for the exclusive use of any <br />business venture such as this paddle wheel boat, and Mr. Bunnell <br />explained that staff insisted, along with a number of things they <br />have to adhere to, that the public would continue to have the <br />right to fish and camp there. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION. The Motion was <br />voted on and carried unanimously. <br />CONSTRUCTION OF OFFICE BUILDING FOR ROAD & BRIDGE DEPT. <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 7/19/89: <br />54 <br />
