them, which it wouldn't have got if Vista Properties had developed <br />a shopping center or apartments on that property. <br />Commissioner Bird returned to his concerns on maintaining the <br />entrance road to Vista Gardens. He didn't feel we have the <br />manpower or the expertise to maintain that entrance and signage in <br />the same manner it has been. <br />Administrator Chandler felt there are several accommodations <br />we could look at, such as continuing with the contract arrangement <br />or having the Preservation Society provide some of the <br />maintenance. <br />Commissioner Scurlock suggested that sometime between now and <br />the referendum we renegotiate the arrangement and clarify the <br />specific standards on the entrance, but Attorney Vitunac <br />emphasized that it is in our favor right now as there are no <br />standards, and we would pay only 210 of the costs. <br />Commissioner Scurlock felt we will see whose favor it's in <br />when we have 1200 residents in here complaining about their <br />entrance way, and Commissioner Bird was not impressed with paying <br />just 21% since we presently are not paying anything toward <br />maintenance costs. <br />Commissioner Scurlock -stated that he just wanted to raise <br />some concerns today. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously ratified the <br />slight amendment to the contract as presented by <br />Attorney Vitunac. <br />SEP 12 1989 35 <br />BOOK 7 F uc. ���J <br />
