SELECTION OF CONSULTANT AND PROFESSIONAL ENGINEEERING SERVICES <br />AGREEMENT FOR REPLACEMENT BRIDGE OVER THE SOUTH RELIEF CANAL AT <br />20TH AVENUE <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 11130189: <br />TO: James Chandler <br />County Administrator <br />THROUGH: James W. Davis, P.E. <br />Public Works Director <br />tom/ <br />FROM: Michelle A. Gentile, CET <br />Civil Engineer <br />SUBJECT: Selection of Consultant and Professional Engineering <br />Services Agreement for Replacement Bridge over the <br />South Relief Canal at 20th Avenue <br />DATE: November 30, 1989 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />Staff has advertised for Statements of Qualifications and Letters <br />of Interest from qualified consultants, reviewed those <br />qualifications, short listed four firms and conducted interviews <br />of these firms. The resultant ranking of the firms is: <br />1. Marshall, McCully & Associates <br />2. Mosby & Associates <br />3. Kimball/Lloyd & Associates <br />4. Delon Hampton & Associates <br />The services consist of engineering analysis and design of <br />replacement bridge over the South Relief Canal on 20th Avenue. <br />ALTERNATIVE <br />The only alternative is to authorize staff to negotiate contract <br />terms with the highest ranked firm. <br />FUNDING <br />Funding to be from Bridge Replacement Account No. <br />111-214-541-066.31. <br />DEC 12 1989 <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Eggert, the Board unanimously authorized <br />staff to negotiate contract terms with Marshall, McCully <br />& Associates, the highest ranked firm, as recommended by <br />staff. <br />45 <br />BOOK 78 FACE: 610 <br />
