He felt <br />every decision the Board makes today will involve trade-offs, and <br />everything comes at a price. PELHAM <br />Gkoverfor Secretary <br />January 23, 1990 <br />Mr. Sasan Rohani <br />Community Development <br />Indian River County <br />1840 - 25th Street <br />Vero Beach, Florida 32960 <br />Dear Mr. Rohani: <br />In response to your request of January 3, 1990, the <br />Department of Community Affairs will send a representative to <br />participate in the February 13, 1990 public hearing to adopt the <br />proposed Indian River County Comprehensive Plan. <br />The Department's representative is authorized to restate our <br />position as expressed in the Department's December 11, 1989, <br />Objections, Recommendation's and Comments Report, and to listen <br />to all parties. It is the Department's position that the <br />adoption public hearing is not the proper forum for modifying the <br />Department's position or approving proposed revisions to the <br />comprehensive plan. The Department's representative will be <br />without authority to modify the Department's position or approve <br />proposals discussed at the public hearing. <br />The Department's role with respect to approving proposed <br />revisions will begin upon adoption and submittal of the <br />comprehensive plan, pursuant to Chapter 9J-11.011, Florida <br />Administrative Code.
