fE6 2 71990 <br />BOOK 79 F'GE • 6i,'P <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF <br />COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that <br />the Board respectfully requests the Governor and Cabinet of <br />the State to appropriate sufficient funds to provide <br />additional law enforcement and boating safety capabilities <br />for the Intracoastal Waterway and Indian River Lagoon within <br />the 13 coastal counties which will be subject to existing or <br />additional manatee protection rules and regulations. <br />The resolution was moved for adoption by <br />Commissioner Scurlock and the motion was seconded by <br />Commissioner Wheeler, and, upon being put to a vote, the <br />vote was as follows: <br />Chairman Carolyn K. Eggert Aye <br />Vice Chairman Richard N. Bird Absent <br />Commissioner Don C. Scurlock, Jr. Aye <br />Commissioner Margaret C. Bowman Opposed <br />Commissioner Gary C.
