US -88 -08 -CCS <br />PREPARED AND STAFFED BY: WILLIAM F. MCCkI <br />CAPITAL PROJECTNE <br />DEPARTMENT OF SERVICES <br />BACKGROUND <br />The 6th Avenue sewer collection system has been completed. We now <br />wish to have the final payment approved along with the release of <br />retainage and have a change order approved which reduces the <br />contract amount. We want to point out that two other change orders <br />have been approved and are currently underway. <br />{ These two change orders are for work which is unrelated to this <br />project, and will be closed out as separate contracts; therefore, <br />they are not reflected in the final price of the 6th Avenue <br />Contract (change orders attached). <br />ANALYSIS <br />Attached please find the release of liens, engineers, recommendation <br />of payment, copies of previous change orders, and final payment <br />request. The original contract amount was $106,172.90; the final <br />contract amount is $101,951.12, which is the revised price by the <br />change order. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />The staff of the Department of Utility Services recommends that the <br />Board of County Commissioners approve the attached changeTorder and <br />release final payment. <br />WFM/c <br />Attachments <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Boman, the Board unanimously approved the <br />change order and release of final payment, as <br />recommended by staff. <br />CHANGE ORDER #2 AND RELEASE OF FINAL PAYMENT ARE ON FILE IN THE <br />OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />52 <br />
