Surplus Property - Road & Bridge Ice Machine <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 3/22/90: <br />DATE: MARCH 22, 1990 <br />TO: HONORABLE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />THRU: JAMES E. CHANDLER <br />COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR <br />FROM: H.T. "SONNY" DEAN, DIRECTOR <br />DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERV S <br />SUBJECT: SURPLUS PROPERTY <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Road and Bridge recently replaced their ice machine due to <br />deterioration and cost of repairs were exorbitant. This machine is <br />without commercial value. <br />ANALYSIS: <br />Indian River Community College, through their air conditioning and <br />refrigeration vocational school personnel has expressed a desire to <br />use the above ice machine in their program. <br />In accordance with Florida Statues 274,06, "if the property is <br />without commercial value it may be donated, destroyed, or abandoned." <br />RECOMMENDATIONS• <br />Based on the above staff recommends the above ice machine, Serial <br />Number 81040078, County Asset Number 3631, be declared surplus <br />property and donated to Indian River Community College. <br />� '�BOOK ,,cAPR 1990 <br />J <br />
