F7 <br />REQUEST FROM SEBASTIAN POLICE DEPT. TO CLOSE INDIAN RIVER DRIVE <br />FOR A PARADE <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 4/18/90: <br />TO: James E. Chandler, <br />County Administrator <br />FROM: James W. Davis, P.E., <br />Public Works Director"' <br />SUBJECT: Request from City of Sebastian Police Department <br />to Close Indian River Drive between Harrison <br />and Davis Street <br />DATE: April 18, 1990 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />Sergeant Ewert from the Sebastian Police Department is requesting <br />that Indian River Drive be closed May 12, 1990 from 8:30 <br />AM to 10:30 AM for a "Just Say No" Parade from the South point of <br />.Harrison Street to the North point of Davis Street Staff has <br />no objection to this request provided that: <br />1) Proper barricades as permitted by the Traffic Engineering <br />Department are installed. <br />2) A representative be listed as a contact person in charge of <br />the event in case the road needs to be opened. <br />3) Access to emergency vehicles be maintained. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bowman, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wheeler, the Board unanimously (4-0, <br />Chairman Eggert being absent) approved staff's <br />recommendation to close the street as set out in the <br />above memo. <br />47B7GK r <br />J02 <br />I� ',�GE <br />MAY 11990 <br />A <br />
