PIN <br />DIRECTOR OF UTI aERVICES <br />SUBJECT: SEWER FORCE MAIN SYSTEM - RESOLUTION NO. 1 <br />WEST SIDE FROM 10TH STREET TO 4TH STREET <br />IRC PROJECT NO. UW -88 -22 -CCS <br />PREPARED AND STAFFED BY: WILLIAM F. McC <br />CAPITAL PROJE NEER <br />DEPARTMENT OF U T SERVICES <br />BACKGROUND <br />The design and assessment of the aforementioned project has been <br />completed. We now wish to have Resolution No. 1 and Resolution No. <br />2 approved so that we may proceed with this project. <br />ANALYSIS <br />The cost to be assessed on a square footage basis is $64,790.00. <br />This cost covers the force main construction cost, and the <br />engineering fee, plus a 10% contingency. The total square footage <br />is 460,615.70 square feet, which equates to 0.140659556 dollars per <br />square foot. ' <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />The staff of the Department of Utility Services recommends that the <br />Board of County Commissioners approve the attached resolutions and <br />set the date for the public hearing. <br />Commissioner Scurlock felt that clarification was needed in <br />regard to the engineering and inspection costs of $22,900 on this <br />project. <br />Utilities Director Terry Pinto explained that this project <br />was authorized back in April, 1989, and the estimated cost was <br />$155,000.
