REVISIONS TO COUNTY WATER & WASTEWATER UTILITY STANDARDS <br />The Board reviewed memo from John Lang of the Utility staff: <br />DATE: JUNE 26, 1990 <br />TO: JAMES E. LANG <br />AND STAFFED ENVIRONMENTA SPECIALIST <br />BY: DEPARTMENT OF UTILITY SERVICES <br />SUBJECT: REVISIONS TO INDIAN RIVER COUNTY <br />WATER AND WASTEWATER UTILITY STANDARDS <br />BACKGROUND <br />The Indian River County Department of Utility* Services Water and <br />Wastewater Utility Standards have been revised as per the initially <br />adopted November 1987 agenda item. Periodic revision of the <br />standards is necessary to keep pace with indu4try standards, County <br />needs, and advances in engineering design. <br />ANALYSIS <br />The following significant changes were made to the specifications: <br />1. Provision for a lift station calculation checklist. <br />2. Inclusion of an Indian River County approved radio control and <br />monitoring unit for lift stations. <br />3. Inclusion of spare panel boards for Item 2. <br />The other changes were to correct typographical errors in the text <br />and details. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />The Department of Utility Services recommends that the Board of <br />County Commissioners approve the changes to the Utility Standards. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Wheeler, the Board unanimously approved the <br />changes to the Utility standards as recommended by staff. <br />COPIES OF PAGES W/CHANGES ARE ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF CLERK TO <br />JUL x101990 <br />THE BOARD. <br />
