immediately adjacent to the building and was informed that there <br />are 67 spaces adjacent. <br />Discussion continued regarding parking, the problem that <br />this parking area also undoubtedly would be made use of by <br />tenants of the businesses to the east, and the possibility of <br />talking to Mr. Flick about relocating some of his parking into <br />other areas. <br />Commissioner Scurlock asked if there has been any dialogue <br />in regard to approaching the printing company about the possibil- <br />ity of trading their location for the State Attorney's building. <br />Administrator Chandler stated that there has been no dis- <br />cussion of that at this point. We have tied this in with getting <br />appraisals. In addition to getting appraisals on the properties <br />Mr. Flick has control over, we want to get one on the west half <br />of Block 45, which includes the print shop and possibly also <br />expand the appraisal to include the 6 lots just south of the <br />proposed parking facility. We want to know the value of all <br />properties that may possibly be under consideration. <br />Commissioner Bird inquired about the feasibility of moving <br />the parking garage to the south and not having to take the bank's <br />drive -up structure, but Mr. Halback pointed out that, although <br />this is a possibility, you then may be into negotiation with an <br />unwilling seller. <br />Commissioner Wheeler brought up the possibility of building <br />the parking garage over the drive -up facility, and Administrator <br />Chandler stressed that from the staff perspective, we want to <br />consider all physical aspects, and when we get appraisals, we <br />will know better what we are looking at. <br />Commissioner Scurlock commented that we are building a <br />facility to serve 91,000 -People, and while we want to mitigate <br />the impact on property owners, he personally would not let the <br />impact on one property owner stop him from voting for doing the <br />most efficient thing. <br />Mr. Halback next presented Concept K: <br />18 <br />I <br />
