DEC 19 1990 <br />PUUK U � F,1 c 3 <br />The Department of Transportation has issued authorization for <br />the signalization of the intersection based on this warrant <br />study. <br />The attached amendment provides for increasing the scope of <br />work to include signalization design at an additional cost <br />of $4,912. This, added to the current contract amount of <br />$141,002 (which includes $81,435 for 58th Avenue Improvement <br />Study and $59,567 for CR510/AlA Intersection Improvements) <br />will result in a new contract amount of $145,914. <br />ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS <br />The alternatives are as follows: <br />Alternative No. 1 <br />Approve the attached Amendment No. 3 to- the _ <br />Professional Engineering Services Agreement between Gee <br />& Jenson and Indian River County. <br />Alternative No. 2 <br />Issue a request for proposals and select a firm to <br />perform the services in accordance with CCNA <br />procedures. <br />RECOI4MENDATIONS AND FUNDING <br />It is recommended that Alternative No. 1 be approved whereby <br />Amendment No. 3 is approved and the Chairman is authorized <br />to sign the amendment. Funding for this project is from <br />Account #101-151-541-067.11. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Wheeler, the Board unanimously approved <br />Alternative No. 1 authorizing the Chairman to sign <br />Amendment No. 3 as recommended by staff. <br />72 <br />
