FEB 12 ' 10 <br />G. Re -roofing of Administration Building (Adiusted Final Draw) <br />The Board reviewed the following memorandum from <br />Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds Lynn Williams: <br />TO: James Chandler, County Administrator <br />THRU: H.T. "Sonny" Dea <br />FROM: Lynn Williams, Supt. of Buildings & Grou <br />DATE: February 4, 1991 <br />SUBJECT: Re -Roofing - Administration Building <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS: <br />The bid for Re -Roofing the County Administration Building was <br />awarded June 12, 1990 to Cardinal Roofing and Siding of Florida. A <br />subsequent Change Order #1 was approved September 4, 1990. The <br />total adjusted contract sum is $95,957.00. <br />One progress payment has been made per the contract in the amount <br />of $ 47,978.50 (October 19, 1990). <br />The project is complete and has been inspected for compliance with <br />the bid specifications. <br />Damages which occurred during the project were itemized and <br />forwarded to Risk Management for review and comment. Their <br />concurrence was issued and conveyed to the contractor. Staff and <br />the contractor discussed the damages, amounts and method of <br />resolution. <br />Staff notified the contractor that $2,058.37 would be deducted for <br />damages on the final payment of $47,978.50. The adjusted amount of <br />the final draw will be $45,920.13. <br />RECOMMENDATION AND FUNDING: <br />Staff recommend final payment of $45,920.13 to Cardinal Roofing for <br />the Administlation Building Re -Roofing project. This amount <br />includes the deduction for damages. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wheeler, the Board unanimously approved <br />final payment of $45,920.13 to Cardinal Roofing as <br />recommended by Staff. <br />12 <br />
