Zoning and Land Use of properties adjacent to the County <br />parcel: <br />North: 65th Street & Solid Waster Transfer <br />Station/RM-6 and RS -3, vacant <br />South: RM -6 and RS -6, vacant <br />East: IL, industrial building <br />West: A-1, citrus groves & church <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Based on the analysis performed, staff recommends the Board of <br />County Commissioners: <br />1. Grant special exception use approval for the BellSouth <br />transmission tower; and <br />2. Acknowledge the following items concerning the transmission <br />tower site plan: <br />a. The tower's designated fall radius is permitted to extend <br />outside of the current lease area onto the County's <br />property; and <br />b. The existing vegetation on the County's property provides <br />the required screening and landscaping for the tower site <br />and this screening and landscaping must be maintained <br />while the tower is located on the site unless an <br />alternate plan is approved and implemented in the future; <br />and <br />3.
