APR `4 3 1931 I<tor 1,11trUL169 <br />Captain Calvin Jones, head of corrections at the County <br />Jail, explained that without the cameras the visitors are not <br />visible from the point where they go up the stairs to the <br />visitation room. The cameras would enable them to see i.f there <br />are any squabbles or incidents taking place in that corridor or <br />on the staircase before the visitors actually enter the <br />visitation room. <br />Commissioner Eggert hadn't realized that visitors get into <br />arguments with each other. <br />Doug Wright, Director of Emergency Services, felt the <br />cameras are necessary and recommended the Board's approval. <br />The Chairman called for the question. The Motion <br />was voted on and caried unanimously. <br />Director Wright advised that in terms of the 3 major <br />accounts at the Jail, we are on budget at this point in time and <br />we expect to be on budget when the project is completed. <br />COUNTY JAIL, PHASE _111 --AUTHORIZATION TO BID FOR FURNISHINGS <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 4/16/91: <br />TO: Board of CountV Commissioners <br />FROM: Doug Wrigh�, Director <br />Emergency Services <br />g Y <br />DATE: April 16, 1991 <br />SUBJECT: Authorization to Bid For Furnishings <br />r. A description and itemized list of furnishings <br />and supplies requested by the Sheriff's Department is attached for <br />review and consideration.
