Van Fleet Water Production Facility Improvements BVP 13-196 <br /> EXHIBIT 17 <br /> SUPPLEMENTARY CONDITIONS OF CONTRACT <br /> These Supplementary Conditions amend or supplement the General Conditions of the <br /> Construction Contract and other provisions of the Contract Documents as indicated below. All <br /> provisions which are not so amended or supplemented remain in full force and effect. <br /> 1) Qualifications <br /> Contractor must be a State of Florida licensed General Contractor. <br /> 2) Definitions <br /> The term"OWNER" as used throughout the Technical Specifications, has the same <br /> meaning as the term "County" as used in the General Conditions. <br /> The term"ENGINEER" as used throughout the Technical Specifications, has the same <br /> meaning as the term"Professional" as used in the General Conditions. <br /> 3) Workday <br /> The term"Workday" as used throughout the Technical Specifications, shall be defined as <br /> 7:00 am to 5:00 p.m., five days per week, except for County holidays. Alternate work <br /> hours (up to 24 hours/day or weekends)will be considered and may be allowed at the <br /> request of the Contractor. Written permission shall be obtained from <br /> OWNER/ENGINEER by Contractor to perform work on these days. <br /> 4) Project Location <br /> The project is located at the Van Fleet Water Production Facility site, located at Waverly <br /> Barns Road, Davenport Florida, 33897. <br /> Project is located in the Northeast Regional Utility Service Area(NERUSA)next to a <br /> commercial development and Contractor shall provide adequate facilities to minimize <br /> disruption to local traffic. Contractor shall provide noise control, access control to ensure <br /> site security and erosion control to prevent damage to private property. <br /> 5) Continuous Service <br /> The Van Fleet WPF is the primary source of potable water for the residents in Northeast <br /> Polk County. Providing a continuous and non- interrupted potable water supply to the <br /> residents is of utmost importance and will be the Contractor's sole responsibility during <br /> the course of the project. Contractor will coordinate with Polk County Utilities <br /> Operations on the day to day operation of the WPF and will plan any shutdown at least 5 <br /> days in advance. <br /> 93 <br /> � 1z - 93 <br />
