Direct Purchase of Certain PC South Equipment (as summarized in <br />Discussion Item C, above) <br />Alternative C1 - Approve the direct purchase of certain PC South equipment for <br />an estimated total of $1,074,380. <br />Alternative C2 - Reject the direct purchase of the equipment. <br />D. Construction Contract Contingency Fee Reserve <br />Alternative D1 - Authorize a construction contract contingency fee reserve equal <br />to approximately 5% of the Close Construction and Felix Associates bids for a <br />total of $351,000; and authorize staff to use the reserve for change orders as <br />deemed necessary by staff without additional Board approval, up to the amount <br />of the reserve. <br />Alternative D2 - Reject the establishment of a construction contract contingency <br />fee reserve. <br />E. Technology License Fee and License Agreement <br />,. Alternative E1 - Approve payment of a $190,000 technology license fee to <br />Hydromentia, Inc. <br />Alternative E2 - Reject payment of the $190,000 technology license fee to <br />Hydromentia, Inc. <br />FUNDING <br />The current budget for this project totals $6,406,000. The shortfall of $4,519,350 will be <br />split 70% from Utilities and 30% from Optional Sales Tax -Drainage Systems. <br />Therefore, for FY12/13, $8,069,545 will be funded from Utilities/WIP/South County Brine <br />Disposal, Acct# 471-169000-12502 which will include the grants of $906,000 and <br />$2,855,805 from Optional Sales Tax/Public Works/Pollution Control South, SW, Acct# <br />31524338-066510-06050. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends the Board of County Commissioners: <br />A.
