Thompson, P.E.-� <br />Capital Projects Manager <br />SUBJECT: Professional Engineering Services for <br />Round Island Park Improvements <br />DATE: November 13, 1991 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />On October 8, 1991, Indian River County accepted a $130,000 <br />Waterways Assistance Project grant for Round Island Park <br />Improvements from the Florida Inland Navigation District <br />(FIND). The County.has applied for $150,000 from the <br />Florida Boating Improvement Program to match the grant the <br />County accepted from FIND and $150,000 from the Florida <br />Recreation Development Assistance Program (FRDAP) for <br />additional.improvements. <br />Staff has submitted and received permits for proposed <br />improvements from the Corps of Engineers and the Department <br />of Environmental Regulation. Coastal Technology Corporation <br />has submitted the attached proposal for construction plans <br />preparation and permitting of the proposed site <br />improvements. The compensation due the Consultant for the 1 <br />services described in the proposal is $9,990. A conceptual <br />site plan (copy attached) was previously prepared by Coastal <br />Technology for the FRDAP grant application. <br />Staff will.negotiate a separate contract with John Foster, <br />P.A. to adapt the restroom plans he previously prepared for <br />Treasure Shores Park to the Round Island Park.site.
