�ooK f�{.,E� <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wheeler, to approve the expenditure of <br />$2,554 for additional services from Post, Buckley, <br />Schuh & Jernigan on the North County Water System, <br />Phase I, as recommended by staff. <br />County Attorney Vitunac addressed the following question to <br />Commissioner Scurlock: Would any past or present relationship with <br />Post Buckley Schuh & Jernigan cause you to have a conflict of <br />interest on this vote. <br />Commissioner Scurlock answered in the negative and inquired if <br />the question would be asked of each Commissioner. <br />Attorney Vitunac explained that he had heard rumors only <br />about Commissioner Scurlock. <br />Chairman Eggert asked if any Commissioner had a conflict of <br />interest regarding the North County Water System, Phase I. <br />Commissioner Scurlock commented that he was getting a little <br />tired of that. <br />Attorney Vitunac further explained that he was hearing by way <br />of the newspaper and depositions that when there were rumors <br />previously regarding the Guettler issue, Commissioner Scurlock <br />criticized the Commission and County Attorney for sitting mute and <br />not asking the question, and now he was asking the question.
