APR ®7 1992 <br />The County Attorney's Office has prepared an amendment to the <br />contract for required improvements which extends the completion <br />date until January 22, 1993 and notes the reduction in the amount <br />of the letter of credit to $92,848.13. The reduced bond amount has <br />been approved by the Public Works Director pursuant to Section <br />913.10(4)(B). The developer has executed the contract amendment <br />and agreed in writing to amend the existing Letter of Credit to <br />secure the contract. These documents have been approved by the <br />County Attorney's Office. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Based on the above analysis, the staff recommends that the Board of <br />County Commissioners approve the contract amendment extending the <br />construction completion date by one year, and authorize the <br />Chairman to execute the contract amendment. <br />Commissioner Scurlock wished to point out that he has no <br />conflict of interest on this item. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wheeler, the Board unanimously approved <br />and authorized the Chairman to execute the extension <br />of the Windsor Properties Inc. Contract and Posted <br />Security to Guarantee Completion of Windsor Phase I <br />required subdivision improvements and accepted the <br />amended letter of credit in the reduced amount of <br />$92,848.13, as recommended by staff. <br />COPY OF CONTRACT IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />18 <br />
