CHAS' <br />MANAGER OF AS <br />DEPARTMENT OF <br />ERVICES <br />RENT PROJECTS <br />LITY SERVICES <br />BLUE CYPRESS LAKE WASTEWATER SERVICE PROJECT <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY PROJECT NO. US-90-01-DC/CS/ED <br />PUBLIC HEARING, RESOLUTION NO. III <br />On March 17, 1992, the Indian River County Board of County <br />Commissioners approved Resolution I, (92-48) which contained the <br />preliminary assessment roll describing the project; and cost, and <br />Resolution II, (92-49) setting the date of the public hearing for <br />the subject project. Property owners have been notified of the <br />public hearing by certified mail. Resolution (92-48) was published <br />in the Vero Beach PRESS JOURNAL on March 23, 1992. (See attached <br />agenda item and.minutes of the above meeting.) <br />tilt <br />Approval of the attached Resolution III will confirm and approve the <br />preliminary assessment. The cost of the treatment plant and <br />effluent disposal, including administration, engineering, land <br />acquisition and plant relocation, is $364,133.40. The cost of the <br />collection system, including administration, engineering and <br />construction, is $269,069.11, which is the amount of the assessment <br />portion of the total project costs. The portion of the assessment <br />for the Blue Cypress Lake Fishing Club is $147,702.39 and the <br />portion for the Indian River County Fart. is $121,366.72. The <br />attached map displays the area to benefit from the project: 100 <br />platted lots in Blue Cypress Lake Fishing Club and the Indian River <br />County Park. Costs of constructing the wastewater treatment plant <br />and effluent disposal system shall be recovered through impact fees. <br />The assessment cost per square foot is $0.379272. Attached is <br />Resolution III for the assessment project. (See attached agenda <br />item and minutes of the above meeting.) <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />The staff of the Department of Utility Services recommends that the <br />Board of County Commissioners approve Resolution III, which affirms <br />the preliminary assessment on the subject project. <br />44 <br />
