Dudeck Jr. <br />County Traffic Engineer <br />SUBJECT: Joint Participation Agreement <br />WPA No. 4125343 <br />Indian River County Closed Loop System Group I <br />Setting Up "Local Share" Funding <br />DATE: May 27, 1992 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDIMCNS <br />On January 21, 1992 the Florida Department of Transportation <br />"Local Share° request of $29,200 was approved <br />p <br />of County Commissioners for the above referenced recethe Board <br />(Actually, the Board approved a $33,000 figureince thPr°jeth <br />estimate of our "Local.Share" was based 60esi e <br />Designs.) <br />The Joint Participation Agreement, now based on 100% Design <br />Plans, requires the Board to approve <br />expenditure of $3,300, which represesoa10$n"Codditi ncy <br />al <br />Fund for potential Supplemental Agreements for additional <br />work, if needed. <br />This covers additional work only on the two County <br />intersections of Old Dixie Highway and 8th Street and 8th <br />Street and 6th Avenue, both of which are off the State <br />System. <br />It should be noted that a similar request has been sent to <br />the City of Vero Beach. <br />The Joint Pairticipation Agreement represents the "Formal" <br />approval of= ---*the project between the Florida Department of <br />Transportation and Indian River County. <br />The 100% Design Plans are being completed, at this time, to <br />reflect our review comments and this Agreement is the final <br />steprequired afore all documents are sent to Tallahassee <br />for processing as a prelude to an "October Letting" and <br />actual construction on or about January 1, 1993. <br />Actual funding transmittal of the entire $36,300 is not <br />required until twenty (20) days prior to advertising in <br />October, 1992. <br />�'TAT�ES AND ANALYSIS <br />Alternative No. 1 <br />The Board of County Commissioners refuse to approve this <br />Joint Participation Agreement and the project will go <br />no further. <br />20 <br />
