restore/preserve law and order, support the committed elements, and <br /> provide support to other ESFs respectively as directed by the <br /> Emergency Management Director, or his designee. <br /> C. Notification <br /> Notification of the need to activate this ESF will be made when the <br /> Emergency Management Director is informed that FLNG and/or DOD <br /> personnel will be deployed to Indian River County. The State EOC will <br /> notify the County EOC of the intent to deploy a FLNG Task Organized <br /> Team to the County, and this will initiate the ESF activation and <br /> notification process. The Emergency Management Director or designee <br /> will notify assigned staff to activate the ESF #13 workstation in the EOC <br /> and/or to have the EOC Operations Desk assume the responsibilities of <br /> the ESF workstation. <br /> Following staffing of the ESF function by the primary agency, the support <br /> agencies will be notified of the deployment of FLNG and/or DOD <br /> resources to the County and, as appropriate, asked to mobilize support <br /> personnel or to standby for further instructions. <br /> V. RESPONSIBILITIES <br /> A. Primary Agency — Indian River County Emergency Management, as the <br /> primary agency, will coordinate all activities of ESF#13 and is responsible for <br /> the following: <br /> ESF #13 will: <br /> 1. Maintain the preparedness of primary agency personnel and <br /> resources to implement this ESF. Provide guidance to support <br /> agencies on maintaining preparedness for their roles in <br /> implementation of this ESF. <br /> 2. Maintain any associated implementing procedures necessary to <br /> implement this ESF. Maintain familiarity with the policies and <br /> procedures utilized by the FLNG Task Organized Teams for <br /> deployment to and operations within local jurisdictions. <br /> 3. Provide training and exercise opportunities for primary and support <br /> agency staff in the implementation of this ESF. Ensure that primary <br /> and support agency personnel have received the proper level of <br /> training required by NIMS for the positions within the emergency <br /> organization that they fill <br /> Indian River County Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan Annex I - Page ESF#13-6 <br />
