D. Post-Monetary Donations <br /> If requested, the United Way of Indian River County will serve as the fiscal <br /> agent for a local disaster fund. <br /> This fund will enable the community and others to direct monetary disaster <br /> relief donations to support recovery efforts in Indian River County. <br /> Additionally, if requested, the United Way will serve as the fiscal agent for <br /> any disaster relief funds made available to Indian River County from outside <br /> the community. <br /> D. Response Actions <br /> 1. Initial Actions <br /> a. Upon notification of an EOC activation, the lead agency for <br /> ESF #15 (United Way of Indian River County) will notify their <br /> support agency (SAFER Indian River) to recruit staff for the <br /> ESF #15 desk at the EOC. <br /> b. ESF #15 will coordinate the availability of personnel and <br /> resources for staffing the Volunteer Reception Center. <br /> C. A representative from the Volunteer Reception Center will <br /> report to the EOC to check out the VRC go-kit and prepare for <br /> staging immediately following impact. <br /> 2. Response Actions <br /> An organized response effort is vital to the successful delivery of <br /> goods and services. <br /> a. A phone bank has been established in the ESF #15 ancillary <br /> office at the EOC to accept incoming calls for donations and <br /> volunteers. The phone numbers will be relayed to ESF #14 <br /> (Public Information)for immediate dissemination to the public. <br /> b. ESF #15 will assign a volunteer from their support agency to <br /> inventory, update and maintain a database of offers for/needs <br /> for goods and services. <br /> d.
