Though available, reliance on state <br /> resources for initial notification may cause delays. <br /> IV. CONCEPT OF OPERATIONS <br /> A. GENERAL <br /> 1. Normal Operations <br /> a. Testing or Simulation <br /> i. Notification Lists are updated as personnel or contact <br /> numbers change, with verification of key personnel and <br /> telephone numbers. <br /> ii. The Preparedness Notification is tested at least annually; <br /> and periodically during actual events or other exercises. <br /> 2. Emergency Operations (Response) <br /> a. Notification to response agencies <br /> At the direction of the Emergency Management Director, staff <br /> will begin to notify agencies identified on the Notification List. <br /> Staff will check-off and write the date and time notification was <br /> made. <br /> i. Standard Statements: <br /> (1) This is (title/name) with the Indian River County <br /> Emergency Management. We are informing you of <br /> an emergency situation (event information) and <br /> request that you and your agency activate your <br /> Emergency Operations Plan. <br /> (2) We are requesting your participation on a <br /> conference call (date/time/phone number) in <br /> reference to the (event information) emergency <br /> situation. <br /> (3) We are activating the Indian River County <br /> Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and request <br /> your agency's representative to report to the EOC <br /> by (time). <br /> E-2 <br />
