3 <br />3 <br />0 <br />s <br />j <br />v <br />Alternate Bid Item No. 1 <br />a'•� .. �: :iii n`�r'�a <br />Alternate Bid Item No. 1 is for Operations only without the construction work. The construction <br />work will be performed by an independent contractor under a separate contract to the Owner. <br />THE UNDERSIGNED PROPONENT, having familiarized himself with the Work required by <br />the Contract Documents, the site where the Work is to be performed. local labor conditions and <br />all laws, regulations, and other factors affecting performance of the Work, and having satisfied <br />himself of the expense and difficulties anending performance of the Work, <br />HEREBY PROPOSES and agrees, if this Proposal is accepted, to enter into Agreement in the <br />' form attached to perform all Work, including the assumption of all obligations, duties, and <br />responsibilities necessary to the successful completion of the Contract and the fumishing of all <br />materials and equipment required to be incorporated in and form a permanent part of the Work; <br />tools, equipment, supplies. transportation, facilities, labor, superintendence. and services required <br />to perforin the Work; and Bonds. insurance and submittals; all as indicated or specified in the <br />Contract Documents to be performed or furnished by Contractor for the following price: <br />Alternate Bid One Million twenty-one thousand <br />hem No. 1 four hundred forty-nine ( Dollars and) 00/100 <br />(Cents)(S 1-021.449.00 I for Class I waste disposed of per year. July 1 <br />through June 30. within the range of 84,450 to 140350 tons per year at the Indian <br />River County, Class I Landfill. Cost shall include the cost for post closure <br />operation and maintenance of the Class I Landfills and the cost for leachate <br />treatment. This Alternate Bid Item includes the cost of operating the Class I cell <br />only. independently of the construction of the infill or closure of Segment II. <br />All the blank spaces in the Proposal Form shall be filled. A proposal price shall be indicated for <br />each proposal item listed therein including Alternate Bid Item No. 1 or the words No Charge", <br />"No Change". or other appropriate phrase shall be entered. Proposals received without all such <br />items completed will be considered non-responsive. Indian River County will select the Base <br />Bid proposal for Class I Operations and Construction or the Alternate Bid Item No. 1 for Class I <br />Operations only, or none of the above at their sole discretion. <br />Historical Leachate costs by Indian River County Landfill are found in Attachment C. <br />etm <br />• <br />BF -3 <br />1110011746.111.47 <br />..Yik:YFY.i''.. oxo .r,:A <br />
