The superintendent shall have <br />authority to act on behalf of the Contractor, and instructions, directions or notices given <br />to him shall be as binding as if given to the Contractor. However, important directions. <br />instructions and notices may be confirmed in writing to the Contractor as will all such <br />items if requested by the Contractor. <br />b. The Contractor shall examine and study the Contract Documents and shall provide <br />constant and efficient supervision to the Work. <br />c. Contractors and Subcontractors shall be required to cooperate and consult with each other <br />during the construction of this project. Each Contractor or Subcontractor shall lay out <br />and execute his work so as to cause the least delay to the Contractor or other <br />Subcontractors. Each Subcontractor shall be responsible for any damage to other <br />Subcontractor's or Contractor's work, and each Subcontractor shall be financially <br />responsible to the Contractor for undue delay caused by him to the Contractors or other <br />Subcontractors on the project. <br />d. The Contractor is required to attend monthly job site progress conferences as called by <br />the Director or Engineer. The Contractor shall be represented at these job progress <br />conferences by other home office and project personnel. These representatives shall have <br />authority to act on behalf of the Contractor. These meetings shall be open to contractors, <br />materials suppliers, and any others who can contribute toward maintaining required job <br />progress. It shall be the principle purpose of these meetings or conferences to effect <br />coordination, cooperation, and assistance in every practical way toward the end of <br />maintaining progress of project on schedule and to complete the project within the <br />specified contract time. The Contractor shall be prepared to assess progress of the Work <br />as required in the particular contract and to recommend remedial measures for correction <br />of progress as may be appropriate. The Director or his authorized representative shall be <br />the coordinator of the conference and shall preside as chairman. <br />ARTICLE 11 - SEPARATE CONTRACTS AND CONTRACTOR RELATIONSHIPS <br />a. Contractor shall be ultimately responsible for implementation of the Operations Contract <br />and construction projects. All Subcontractors shall cooperate with each other in the <br />execution of their work, and shall plan their work in such manner as to avoid conflicting <br />schedules or delay of the Work. See Article 10, Construction Supervision. <br />b. If any part of Contractor's work depends upon the Work of another contractor or <br />subcontractor, defects which may affect that work shall be reported to the Director or <br />Engineer by the Contractor in order that prompt inspection may be made and the defects <br />corrected. Commencement of work by a Subcontractor where such conditions exist will <br />constitute acceptance of the other Contractor's or Subcontractor's work as being <br />satisfactory in all respects to receive the Work commenced, except as to defects which <br />may later develop.
