AUG BOOK �rJ FA,,E <br />Subject Site <br />c <br />N <br />2 <br />�LL <br />� Z <br />SCG <br />Commissioner Bowman was concerned about the availability of <br />right-of-way for possible future expansion of Old Dixie Highway. <br />Director Keating explained that normal County policy is to <br />require right-of-way from each side of an existing roadway. <br />However, with the railroad on one side, that requirement is <br />precluded in this situation. Where there is a right-of-way <br />deficiency, the Public Works Department evaluates the site, reviews <br />our Capital Improvements Plan, and looks at the improvements that <br />are programmed by the applicant to determine whether it would be an <br />efficient use of County traffic funds to purchase the right-of-way. <br />Public Works felt that it was not in the best interest of the <br />County to purchase the right-of-way at this time because we do not <br />require right-of-way dedication if we already have the minimum 60 <br />feet.
