14. Specific Land Use Criteria: <br />0 <br />The application must satisfy the following specific land use <br />criteria which apply to agricultural businesses: <br />A. Agricultural businesses may be allowed to locate within <br />the A-1, A-2, or A-3 districts only upon a finding by the <br />reviewing body that such businesses are directly related <br />to or provide services for active agricultural operations <br />and that such uses would not be more appropriately <br />located in a commercial or industrial.zoning district; <br />B. Agricultural businesses shall include but not be limited <br />to : . Agricultural business offices; and sales of <br />agricultural equipment, products and supplies, such as <br />grove maintenance services, or livestock facilities; <br />C. Agricultural businesses shall not be interpreted to <br />permit wholesaling or processing operations; <br />D. The business must be located in an area designated either <br />as AG or R --on the comprehensive land use map. <br />In staff's opinion, the application request meets all of the above <br />criteria. <br />15. Surrounding Land Uses and Zoning: <br />North: Vacant/A-1 <br />South: Vacant/A-1 <br />East: Groves/A-1 <br />West: Landfill/A-1 <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Based on the analysis performed, staff recommends that the Board of <br />County Commissioners: <br />1. Grant special exception use approval for the requested <br />agricultural business (grove maintenance service). <br />Chairman Eggert opened the Public Hearing and asked if anyone <br />wished to be heard in this matter.
