County Attorneyc'fg <br />DATE: July 29, 1992 <br />SUBJECT: PROPOSED ORDINANCE ENTITLED: AN ORDINANCE <br />OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA AMENDING <br />CHAPTER 305 COURTS TO INCLUDE A DISTRIBUTION <br />OF CIVIL PENALTIES TO THE FUND FOR THE LOCAL <br />` LAW ENFORCEMENT EDUCATION FUND. <br />When Chapter 6 of the old code was transferred to Chapter 305 on <br />December 23, 1991 a special distribution of 25% of all civil penalties paid <br />to the County to the fund under Section 318.21 was inadvertently left <br />out. <br />It is recommended that this special distribution be incorporated into <br />Chapter 305. Further, it is recommended that the Clerk of Court be <br />authorized to make a retroactive distribution in accordance with this <br />formula. <br />26 <br />
