4TH STREET BIKE PATH - RIGHT-OF-WAY ACQUISITION <br />The Board reviewed memo from Public Works Director Jim Davis <br />dated August 24, 1992: <br />T0: James E. Chandler, <br />County Administrator <br />FROM: James•W. Davis, P.E. <br />Public Works Director <br />SUBJECT: 4th Street Bike Path - <br />Right -of -Way Acquisition <br />DATE: August 24, 1992 FILE: 4stbike.agn <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />Mr. and Mrs. Glenn H. Blair and Mr. & Mrs. Edward R. Lipscomb <br />each have agreed to sell to the County a parcel of land 10 feet <br />by 150 feet along 4th Street just west of 27th Avenue. This <br />right-of-way is needed to complete a section of sidewalk along <br />4th Street. The Blair's and the Lipscomb's have agreed to sell <br />the land for $750 apiece plus relocation of palm trees, for a <br />total of $1,500. <br />ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS <br />This right-of-way is needed to provide for a 10' wide sidewalk <br />along the north side of 4th Street. The alternatives are as <br />follows: <br />Alternative No. 1 <br />Approve the right-of-way acquisition at a cost of $1,500. <br />Alternative No. 2 <br />Not approve the purchase and not proceed with the sidewalk <br />construction. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS AND FUNDING <br />Alternative No. 1 is recommended. Funding to be from Secondary <br />Road Trust Fund ($200,000 budgeted in FY 91/92 budget). <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously (3-0, <br />Chairman Eggert being absent) approved the right-of- <br />way acquisition at a cost of $1,500, as recommended <br />by staff. <br />49 <br />booK 87 PAGE 454 <br />� �I <br />
