RESOLUTION NO. 2017- 070 <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that: <br />1. ESTABLISHMENT. <br />The Indian River County Development Review and Permit Process Advisory <br />Committee is hereby established. <br />2. MEMBERSHIP. <br />The Development Review and Permit Process Advisory Committee shall have <br />eleven to thirteen voting members appointed by the Board of County <br />Commissioners. Each Commissioner is charged with the duty of appointing two <br />members: one member shall be from the building and development community and <br />one member from the community at Targe, but preferably knowledgeable with <br />respect to some aspect of building and development. The eleventh through <br />thirteenth members shall be at large members selected by a majority of the <br />Commission. <br />Members must reside, work or own property in Indian River County. <br />3. DURATION OF COMMITTEE AND TERM OF OFFICE. <br />The Development Review and Permit Process Advisory Committee shall <br />automatically be sunsetted one year from the date of its first meeting or completion <br />of its tasks for the Board, whichever occurs first, and the term of office for each <br />member shall terminate at that time. The duration of the Committee may be <br />extended by the Board and the term of office for the members shall be extended <br />accordingly. <br />4. POWERS AND DUTIES. <br />The Development Review and Permit Process Advisory Committee shall have the <br />power and duty to: <br />a. Identify issues and adopt recommendations for improving and <br />streamlining aspects of the development review and permit process <br />including use of technology and automation. <br />b. Review landscape requirements found in Chapters 926 and 934, <br />Code of Indian River County and advise the Board concerning <br />ordinance amendments to the County's landscape regulations. <br />c. Consider amending Chapter 902, Temporary Suspension of <br />Compliance provisions, Code of Indian River County, and submit <br />recommendations on proposed changes to the Board of County <br />2 <br />
