E. At the end of the payroll period nearest the end of each fiscal year, the <br />accumulated overtime of the lowest employee in each classification <br />(excluding employees who are ineligible for overtime) shall be deducted from <br />the overtime standings of all others in the classification at that location. <br />F. It is expressly understood that reliable, prompt service is a priority <br />responsibility to the public we serve. It is expected that all employees will <br />respond when an emergency or bona fide need exists. The failure to so <br />respond, except as covered in (D) above, will be cause for disciplinary action, <br />including termination of employment. <br />31.02 PROPER FILLING OF AND DISTRIBUTION OF OVERTIME <br />A. All call -out overtime will be filled by the off going shift. Prearranged overtime <br />shall be offered to employees with the lowest hours of that classification. The <br />Captain shall attempt contact with up to three employees with the lowest hours in <br />that classification. If unable to contact and/or secure consent to accept <br />assignment to prearranged overtime hours, the Captain may hold over other <br />qualified employees. <br />B. Overtime will be called within the classification creating the overtime first. Solo <br />Paramedic and ALS lead are not classifications. If all employees within that rank <br />refuse then only those employees one classification below who can work out of <br />rank will be called. If those employees refuse, then the employee with the, lowest <br />hetes number of occurrences as reflected on the mandatory overtime list within <br />the original classification causing the overtime and not on approved leave will be <br />get assign eded the overtime in a mandatory status. <br />G, At the be6nning of the first pav period after ratification of this Agreement by <br />both parties, mandatory overtime lists will be established for each bargaining unit <br />classification based upon inverse seniority (from least senior employee to most <br />34 <br />P112 <br />
