Board of County Commissioners <br />Meeting Minutes - Final June 13, 2017 <br />Management & Budget Director Michael Smykowski gave a brief explanation <br />of the interfund loan for the irrigation system at Lakes Golf Course at <br />Sandridge Golf Club, noting that the original irrigation system is 25 years old. <br />A motion was made by Vice Chairman O'Bryan, seconded by Commissioner <br />Solari, to approve staffs recommendation. The motion carried by the following <br />vote: <br />Aye: 5 - Chairman Flescher, Vice Chairman O'Bryan, Commissioner Adams, <br />Commissioner Solari, and Commissioner Zorc <br />F. COUNTY ATTORNEY MATTERS <br />13.A. 17-0574 Code Enforcement Board Appointment <br />Recommended Action: <br />The County Attorney recommends that the Board review the applicant's resume and <br />application, and determine whether to appoint him to fill the unexpired term for the <br />"Member at Large" representative to the Code Enforcement Board. <br />Attachments: Staff Report <br />Code Enforcement Board Application - Armitage <br />Armitage Resume - Code Enforcement Board Appointment <br />13.B. 17-0614 <br />This item was pulled from the Agenda. <br />No Action Taken or Required <br />Resolution Authorizing the Florida Department of Transportation to Acquire Right -of -Way <br />for the State Road 60/43rd Avenue Project and Use the Mermaid Carwash and Lennie's <br />Lounge Parcels as Mitigation and for Cure Plans <br />Recommended Action: Staff recommends the Board of County Commissioners approve the Resolution permitting <br />FDOT to use the County owned Mermaid Carwash and Lennie's Lounge sites in <br />negotiations with the neighboring property owners to mitigate damages and formulate cure <br />plans and authorize the Chairman to execute the resolution. <br />Attachments: Staff Report <br />Resolution DOT to acquire property rights <br />Deputy County Attorney William DeBraal used a PowerPoint Presentation to assist <br />in describing the entire area involved to acquire a right-of-way for the State Road <br />60/43rd Avenue Project. <br />Bob Johnson, Coral Wind Subdivision, expressed concern for Young's Market and <br />7 -Eleven; however, Attorney DeBraal conveyed that the majority of changes would <br />be to the west side of the roadway, with very minor changes to the southeast side. <br />Indian River County Florida <br />Page 13 <br />
