Board of County Commissioners Meeting Minutes-Final October 24,2017 <br /> Aye: 5- Chairman Flescher, Vice Chairman O'Bryan, Commissioner Adams, <br /> Commissioner Solari,and Commissioner Zorc <br /> 12.6.3. 17-1102 Request for Sole Source for Equipment, Repair and/or Replacement for <br /> Fleetboss Annual Fees and Products <br /> Recommended Action: The staff of Indian River County Department of Utility Services recommends <br /> that the Board of County Commissioners authorize the Purchasing Department <br /> to use the authorized vendor as the sole source provider for equipment,repairs <br /> and replacements for Fleetboss annual fees and products. <br /> Attachments: Staff Report <br /> Sole Source Letter <br /> Commissioner Zorc suggested, and Director of Utility Services Director <br /> Vincent Burke agreed,to investigate the web-based compatibility between the <br /> new hand-held radios and the equipment installed in the vehicles. <br /> A motion was made by Vice Chairman O'Bryan,seconded by Commissioner <br /> Solari,to approve staffs recommendation, naming Fleetboss GPS, Inc.a sole <br /> source provider. The motion carried by the following vote: <br /> Aye: 5- Chairman Flescher,Vice Chairman O'Bryan, Commissioner Adams, <br /> Commissioner Solari, and Commissioner Zorc <br /> The Chairman called for a recess at 10:29 a.m., and reconvened the meeting at <br /> 10:37 a.m.,with all members present. <br /> 13. COUNTY ATTORNEY MATTERS <br /> 13.A. 17-1026 Oslo Boat Ramp <br /> Recommended Action: Staff recommends the Board discuss its options with regard to the Oslo Boat Ramp <br /> Project. <br /> Attachments: Staff Report <br /> (Clerk's Note: This item was heard following Item 14.B.1., and placed here for <br /> continuity.) <br /> Deputy County Attorney Bill DeBraal recapped the history of the Oslo Boat Ramp <br /> Project, and offered several options for discussion. He stated that this item was <br /> tabled on October 21, 2014 for a period of three to five years, and that the permit, <br /> issued by St. Johns Water Management District,would be expiring in two years. <br /> Indian River County Florida Page 14 <br />
