MAR o <br />BOOK 88 PnE 974 <br />Commissioner Eggert commented that the Board should be <br />selective when approving these requests because of the cost to the <br />County. <br />Director Davis explained that staff will drop the barricades <br />off and pick them up on a weekday, so it will not cost the County <br />any money for overtime. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Adams, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Eggert to approve the requests of the <br />Pelican Island Celebration Committee and the U. S. <br />Fish and Wildlife Service to close Indian River <br />Drive between Riverside Park North and Davis Street <br />to local traffic only on March 14, 1993 for a 5K <br />race between 7:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., and to close <br />Indian River Drive completely between Harrison and <br />Cleveland Streets from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., as <br />recommended by staff. <br />Under discussion, Commissioner Macht as zed if any of the above <br />areas are within the Sebastian city limits, and Director Davis <br />explained that Harrison and Cleveland Streets are in Sebastian, but <br />Indian River Drive is in the county. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION. <br />It was voted on and carried unanimously (4-0, <br />Commissioner Bird being absent). <br />FAIRGROUNDS RESTROOM FACILITY - AUTHORIZATION TO SIGN CONTRACT: <br />ISSUANCE OF NOTICE TO PROCEED: APPROVAL OF CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated February 22, 1993: <br />TO: James E.
