MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Adams, SECONDED by Commissioner Eggert to approve the requests of the Pelican Island Celebration Committee and the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service to close Indian River Drive between Riverside Park North and Davis Street to local traffic only on March 14, 1993 for a 5K race between 7:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., and to close Indian River Drive completely between Harrison and Cleveland Streets from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., as recommended by staff. Under discussion, Commissioner Macht as zed if any of the above areas are within the Sebastian city limits, and Director Davis explained that Harrison and Cleveland Streets are in Sebastian, but Indian River Drive is in the county.
