ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS: — <br />-7 <br />BOOKA <br />9 F UES <br />The request has been reviewed by Southern Bell Telephone Company, <br />Florida Power and Light Corporation, Falcon Cable Corporation, and <br />the Indian River County Utilities Department and the Road & Bridge <br />and Engineering Divisions. Based upon their reviews, it is staff's <br />position that the applicant be required to dedicate a new twenty <br />(20) foot utility and drainage easement elsewhere on the property, <br />before any formal abandonment is recorded in the public records. <br />RECOMMNDATION: <br />Staff recommends that the Board, through the adoption of a <br />resolution, release the common ten (10) foot side lot utility and <br />drainage easements of Lots 8 & 9, Block G, Vero Lake Estates <br />Subdivision, Unit K, being the southerly ten (10) feet of Lot 8, <br />and the northerly ten (10 ) feet of Lot 9, according to the plat <br />thereof as recorded in Plat Book 51 Page 83, of the Public Records <br />of Indian River County, Florida. Staff also recommends that the <br />release of easements not be recorded in the public records until <br />the applicant has dedicated the new twenty (20) foot easement to <br />the County as described herein. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Adams, the Board unanimously (4-0, <br />Commissioner Macht being absent) adopted Resolution <br />93-98 abandoning certain easements on Lots 8 and 9, <br />Block G, Vero Lake Estates Subdivision, Unit K, as <br />recommended by staff. <br />10 <br />
