George Gross, 1230 39th Avenue, suggested clarifying the <br />definition of the project and removing the statement in Section <br />X.B. restricting the use of the documents in other projects. <br />Discussion ensued, and the Commissioners agreed that the <br />definition of the project as set forth on page 1 of the agreement <br />is adequate, but that the language of paragraph X.B. might be <br />subject to misinterpretation. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Adams, the Board unanimously (4-0, <br />chairman Bird being absent) approved the <br />professional coastal engineering services agreement <br />with Coastal Technology Corporation in the amount of <br />$60,000.00 for the Vero Beach restoration project, <br />as recommended by staff, and directed the County <br />Attorney to review and clarify Section X.B. <br />OMB Director Joe Baird explained that this expenditure was <br />authorized as part of the 1993-94 tourist development budget. <br />Since there is sufficient cash available, he recommended that the <br />Board authorize him to prepare a budget amendment reflecting the <br />$60,000.00 payment using 1992-93 tourist development funds. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Adams, the Board unanimously approved <br />Budget Amendment #20 for the payment of $60,000.00 <br />to Coastal Technology Corporation using 1992-93 <br />tourist development funds, as recommended by staff. <br />CONTRACT IS ON FILE <br />IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />TO: Members of the Board <br />of County Commissioners <br />FROM: Joseph A.
