r- 'JUL - el 1, 1 N13 <br />b —1 <br />booK 89 PnF 970 <br />commissioner Eggert wondered if the Sheriff's complex is the <br />best place for this program, and Commissioner Macht explained that <br />this is a successor to another program of this type and is probably <br />an upgrade. <br />Steve Blume, supervisor of construction for the School <br />District, understood that there has been joint communication <br />between the Sheriff's Dept., the School District, and Juvenile <br />Services. <br />Commissioner Adams felt it is an excellent place for the <br />program because the students can see what happens every day. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />commissioner Adams, the Board unanimously (4-0, <br />Commissioner Tippin being absent) approved the <br />request by the School District to place portable <br />classrooms at the Sheriff's Department Complex. <br />REQUEST FROM AFFECTED RESIDENTS ACTION COMMITTEE TO BE HEARD <br />REGARDING CITY OF VERO BEACH ABOVE -GROUND HIGH VOLTAGE TRANSMISSION <br />POWER LINE <br />Chairman. Bird asked for a brief recap of the discussion at the <br />meeting two weeks ago when he was on vacation, and County <br />Administrator Jim Chandler recounted that the Board addressed a <br />letter to the City Council with a request that they consider and <br />hear the concerns of the residents. In addition, the Board <br />requested County staff to look at possible long-range regulations <br />or changes.
